« The Beginning of a Dream » !
Well we have finally signed all the paperwork and Combebelle is at last ours ! It has been a long and arduous process with delay after delay, telephone calls in the middle of the night from New York and Japan trying to sort things out from afar.

Unfortunately, we could not participate in the vendange this year as the paperwork had not been completed which was very frustrating as Catherine was keen to be involved. However, we had our first tasting of the new wines in December after a harrowing journey from London to France a day before Christmas ! Arriving too late for my flight to Carcassonne I called Patrick in a fit of panick as there were no flights out from Stansted to France until the following Tuesday. After some deliberation and advice from the agent who sold Combebelle to us, Patrick suggested Barcelona ! Luckily there were seats available for the last flight out so Patrick left Montpellier late afternoon to meet me there.

After only a few hours sleep we had our first tasting of the day at 8am with Michel Poudou (
